Choose reference images for the information they contribute, not because the interface allows several. Pornderful’s homepage announcement describes a reference mode accepting up to three images and costing 7 credits per generation. That is a product statement, not proof that three references always improve a result.
The practical task is to decide which reference supplies identity, composition or style, then keep those roles clear. Use only material you are authorized to process and non-explicit fictional examples for this method.
Give every reference one job
Before opening a generation form, make a small reference sheet. Record what each image is supposed to contribute and which details should not be carried into the result.
| Reference role | Useful contribution | Possible conflict |
|---|---|---|
| Fictional character design | Stable visible features or clothing | Different designs may compete |
| Composition | Camera distance and placement | A different crop may contradict the target |
| Style or setting | Lighting, colour or environment | An unwanted background may spill into the result |
These are editorial roles, not names of controls we claim to have used inside Pornderful. The current feature may interpret references differently, so read its instructions before submitting anything.
Start with the smallest useful set
For a fictional adult traveller in a fully clothed scene, one clean character design may be enough to establish what you want to retain. A second reference should answer a separate need, such as a wider composition. A third should solve another specific problem rather than repeat the first two.
If two references show different coats, hairstyles or settings, decide which one should govern the result before using them together. A contradiction does not disappear because every file looks good individually.
Keep a short description beside each file. “Preserve the blue coat; ignore the indoor background” is more useful to your own planning than an unlabeled folder full of images.
Use the quoted cost to plan a comparison
At the advertised 7-credit rate for that reference mode, three attempts would total 21 credits. That arithmetic assumes the same quoted action cost each time; verify the actual form before proceeding. It is not a current dollar conversion or a promise about every generation feature.
A controlled comparison asks one question per attempt. For example, first assess whether the initial reference provides a useful design basis. If another attempt is justified, change one relevant part of the reference set while keeping the goal stable.
Do not describe the process as a scientific benchmark unless you have actually controlled and measured the relevant conditions. For a personal task, a clear observation log is enough: input choice, expected contribution, observed difference and next decision.
Review source material before sending it anywhere
Inspect the whole frame for names, addresses, other people, reflections or unrelated screen content. Check the source and permission, not just the file’s visual suitability. Possessing a copy does not establish that it can be processed for any purpose.
Use a separate local working copy if you need one, with a neutral identifier. Do not assume the service will remove all metadata or that a processing claim settles every privacy question.
This guide does not demonstrate sexualized edits of real people, and the feature’s existence is not permission to create non-consensual material.
Judge the result against the reference’s assigned role
A reference used for composition should be assessed for composition. If you instead judge it only by whether an unrelated colour looks attractive, you will learn little about the question you meant to answer.
Use three outcomes: useful for the task, useful with a stated limitation, or unsuitable. Keep the limitation concrete. “Good enough except for a background detail” leads to a different decision from “does not preserve the needed design at all.”
If the current result cannot answer the original question, avoid adding more references automatically. Clarify the task or remove a conflict first.
Keep the conclusion narrow
The homepage announcement provides a maximum input count and an advertised cost for a mode. It does not establish output consistency, supported file limits, ownership rights or a success rate. Those remain separate questions.
Begin with a small reference sheet and one visible acceptance criterion. That makes each potential attempt a decision you can explain rather than an untracked expense.
